About us

Aghor Kuti is a branch of non-profit organization Shree Maa Guru Nari Samuha. It was established with the blessings of Baba Mangaldhan Ram Baba in 2059 B.S. with the prime objective of uniting women and grooming them for a better community. Baba believes that for a nation to prosper, the women of the country need to be independent and strong.

The Aghor Kuti ashram is located at the lap of Shivapuri Hills, Chiseni, which is the watershed for the Kathmandu valley, just about 12 km north from the centre of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Many branches and sub-branches of Aghor Ashram have been established in the different regions of Nepal and it is still in expanding process. The ashram thrives on voluntary donations of its devotees.

The ashram has been working to spread awareness among the villagers about sanitation, the importance of education and women empowerment. Needless to mention, many children are being sponsored for their education. It has been setting an example in the community, be it in terms of use of latrines for the first time in the community or helping the villagers be self-sustained. The contribution of ashram can be easily seen now with the development of the village. Another major aspect is also teaching the community people about morals, values and the importance of better character, which makes sure that a better community is formed.

It is moving with a vision of expanding its services throughout the country. It will be working on the areas of education, health and sanitation of women and children. The goal of the organization will be accomplished only when the women will stand for themselves and work together for the upliftment of the community and the nation.
